Mr. Morris has more than 25 years of experience in commercial banking and Mr. Morris has managed all phases of the credit process for both large and small institutions. While at First Fidelity Bank Mr. Morris managed a $3.2 billion real estate portfolio which included construction lending and mortgage warehousing. Mr. Morris later guided a successful turnaround of Citizens First National Bank of New Jersey including the successful resolution of $400 million of troubled assets. Mr. Morris has been involved in due diligence and merger and acquisition activities for community and regional banks.

Before joining Patriot in 2010, Mr. Morris established, managed as CEO, and co-owned a private construction lending company, Somerset Capital. Designed and created to meet the financial needs of the regional and community builders, it granted fully documented loans for the acquisition, site development and construction of real estate projects.

Mr. Morris earned his Bachelor Degree in Economics from The Wharton School of Commerce and Finance – University of Pennsylvania and his MBA in Banking from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
